On a cold winter morning, a cold breeze beamed in, through the wood covered walls waking up the precious girl who was laying upon the floor covered in smooth covers.Her palm reached up covering the rays of light from disturbing her sleep and turned on her left side ignoring each and every sound she was hearing.
The old cabin was built right into the deep wilderness, under the watch of all of the forest's creatures and more.It was nonetheless, small, that even for a man wouldn't be enough, but it treasured a fireplace which for most would be a life saver on those cold nights.The walls were covered in cobwebs, the old table was covered in dust and the fireplace looked like it was just recently used.It was just like a simple room in which mice would find themselves comfortable.
The brown coloured leaves were placed on the ground just like a blanket for the ground, protecting it from the cold that has laid upon those lands.The wind blew softly taking with him some leaves carrying them forward.It was a deep and peaceful silence.
A young fellow paced fastly through the woods, trying his best to not be captured by his chasers.He stopped, to catch his breath, and leaned against a tree, not too far from the old cabin in which a certain girl was sleeping peacefully.His soft blue eyes looked through the forest, hoping to find a hiding place until his wounds got better.With a sigh of relief he noticed the old cabin and started walking towards it.
With a loud yelp, he fell to the ground and clutched onto his leg fiercely.He shook his head trying to overcome the pain that was inflicted upon him. 'That was a close call' he thought trying to get up, but failed and ended up bleeding harder from his wound. 'Maybe it is my time...' he closed his eyes and thought about the past.
The young girl stood up from her bed, and looked through the blurry window. 'I swear, I heard someone screaming.' she thought and played with her red hair as her eyes searched through the forest for some living creature who might have given that loud scream.
As her eyes saw a body lying into the grass, she quickly pulled on her coat and ran outside barefoot.She reached the boy and kneeled down in front of him.
'What happened to you?' she asked him and pulled him to lean on her. 'Oh dear...' she said looking at his wound.The boy just stood there staring at her.She grabbed onto his leg, ripping off his pants and tying the cloth to his leg, so it would slow down the bleeding.
'H-Hey! What are you doing?!' the boy screeched at her. 'I'm trying to help you, you idiot!' she replied as she grasped onto his hand, pulling it over her shoulder standing up. 'Here, lean on me.' she commanded as she glared at him.He gulped at her glare, but with her help finally stood up and tried his best to walk.
'You know, you don't have to do this, you could just lay me there out in the cold and - ' he couldn't finish his sentence as the girl glared at him once more, shutting him up completely. She carried him back to the old cabin and laid him upon her bed made out of blankets. She then started searching through her bag, as the boy kept staring at her.
She had long messy red hair, and was dressed kind of fancy.A night gown that he bet cost really much.Her skin was kind of pale, her eyes were of a green he hasn't ever seen before.She was quite a beauty.
He shook his heads at his thoughts 'Umm, what's your name?' he asked the girl who finally found what she was looking for. 'Uh huh!' she got a bottle of a green nasty looking cream.She opened the bottle and tucked her two fingers in it, getting some cream on them she rubbed the cream on his wound. 'You're going to be fine in the morning! O-Oh, uh, you asked of my name? It's Emmeline.' She smiled kindly and shook his hand.
'O-Oh, hello.I'm Dace.' he said grinning and let go of her hand. Her bangs fell on her eyes, but before she could remove them the boy bent over and pulled them behind her ear. 'There.' he said smiling.
She blushed at the sudden contact and bit her bottom lip.But she shook her head and got over it before he could react. 'Why are you so wounded?' she asked innocently as she got more cream and rubbed it on his wounds. 'Oh, take off your shirt please.'
He blushed 'M-my shirt?!' he asked nervously. 'Yes, oh yeah and your coat.' She scratched her head grinning, but then realized what he meant. 'O-OH! OH! Not like that' she looked away blushing. He chuckled and did as she said. Crossing her arms she shook her head. She quickly crawled to his back and got her bottle with her. With a slight glance at the other's chest she blushed, but got back to doing what she had to do. 'So, do I have to ask again? Where did you get these wounds from?' she looked at his nasty scratches, and rubbed the cream over them.
'O-oh, well it's a long story.' He exclaimed rubbing the back of his head. 'It's a long story.' 'Well, it's not like I'm going anywhere.' her delicate voice pierced through his heart. 'O-okay.Well, you see, in every town I go to, I always charm the ladies.And they become my fan girls, they always bring me gifts even if they only saw me a second ago.I try to ask them politely to leave me alone, but they just don't get it.I try my best to get rid of them, but they won't listen.This time I was visiting quite a big town.You probably heard of it? It is the biggest and largest town in the world, so yeah. Lavender Rain?'
The girl massaged his back, and thought about that.She knew it all, too well.She nodded quietly making a sign to continue with his story.
'Well, I was helping a friend of mine with some... troubles' he said thinking that he shouldn't tell her he was a really good wizard.She might've haven't heard of things like that. 'And through the town, I've made quite a couple of fangirls.When they heard that I was leaving, they ambushed me at the gate.They tried at first to shower me in gifts and proposal's I just couldn't accept.Then they got angry, and started shredding me to tears.That's when I started running away, I ended up here, lost in the forest.' He chuckled.
'Fangirls! Psh, you?! Yeah, right!' She laughed, mocking him. He twitched at the girl's words and stood up. 'If you don't believe me, I shall prove it to you!' he said and fell down, of unbalance. 'Be careful' she said as she watched him fall. 'Okay! Deal, if you can get 10 girls to give you their phone number in one hour then, urghh... ' She scratched her head thinking what could make a good deal. 'Then, I shall stand there for you for a whole week! I shall cook, I shall protect you and join you in everything, and everywhere you go!'
'Okay! You shall see that I am no liar!' he replied cheerfully. 'Wait, why do I feel sleepy all of the sudden?' he asked as he collapsed onto the ground. 'Oh, shit!' she crawled to him. 'Haa~ Side effects... Well, you'll be fully recovered in the morning so no big deal!' she yawned and looked at herself. 'Oh, dear...' she covered Dace into the blankets then took off her coat which she forgot to do. 'Time for some magic!' she snuck under the table and got her clothes on pretty quickly, as she put her shoes on she grabbed her wand and ran outside practicing her newest magic spells.
She did that the whole day until dawn.She got into the house, and made a fire, preparing some supper.She ate it calmly not daring to rush herself with anything.Afterwards she washed the plate, changed into her night gown and wrote into some kind of journal, it was a really big notebook with lots of notings and sayings in it.She stopped writing, she tucked it into her bag and put a lock onto the door. She then snuggled next to the boy and fell into deep sleep.
The morning came upon those two youngsters quite easy.The sun rays peeked through the window ambushing all the dark in the room, not getting too far with it.The cold chilly air from outside embranced the warmth of the inside.
The girl snuggled closer onto what she thought was a pillow, wrapping her arms around the boy, slowly crawling on top of him.Her red hair getting into her face, she opened her eyes pushing her bangs out of her eyes.Emmeline yawned deeply and stretched her arms.As she glanced to what she was sitting on she realized it wasn't quite a pillow, as it was a human.She rapidly fell over and backed away a bit, waking the other one up.
Dace yawned and opened his eyes, seeing Emmeline flushed. 'Good morning!' he said and rised up with joy, but prepared to be knocked back down because of his wounds.He didn't fall though, he didn't feel any pain at all.He glanced at his leg and saw no more wounds.Astounished by the fact it got healed that fast, he fell back.
'How did it heal so fast?!' he exclaimed. 'Haa~ Magic.' she said twirling a bundle of hair with her finger.Surprised, he stared at the young lady before him. 'Are you serious?' he asked. 'As serious as I can be.' Dace sighed in relief at that. 'Well, at least I don't have to hide from her' he thought.
Emmeline crawled and put up a fire, as she started making breakfast.The young fellow got up and stood next to her. 'What'cha makin' ?' he asked trying to take a peek. 'Eggs.' she said plainly. 'Now move away or you'll get hurt!' she exclaimed.Dace quickly got away.Trying to keep himself busy, he started up a conversation.
'So, are we going to go today?' he asked like it was obvious. The girl thought about it for a second, 'Well yes, why not?' He got a bit surprised by how easy she could answer a question.He sighed, 'Well, do you know any town near by that isn't too big?' Her hair fell down her shoulders, she nodded her head and then gave him a plate with 2 fried eggs.She started eating her own meal quietly.Dace started eating, too, but he kept staring at her.After they ate, she took their plates and washed them putting them away.
She pointed at the wall. 'Don't look' she ordered as she picked up her black dress & corset. He nodded and looked away, as she started taking off her clothes.He couldn't help but peek a little, he blushed at what he saw then looked away.The girl changed into her clothes, picked up her bag and put on her shoes walking outside. 'Change and get your stuff quickly.I shall wait, but I hate waiting.So don't make me wait too much.' she yelled.
Dace got up quickly and looked at what was left of his clothes. 'I need to buy new ones' he thought and made what he could make out of those clothes.He was though left shirtless, but he still had his coat which covered everything.He got his staff and ran outside to see her standing on a rock.
'So, let's go.' she said full of excitement and jumped up, dusting herself off.She started running to the east through the woods, like she knew them like the back of her hand.Dace chased after her, keeping his pace up with her, but somehow failed.
'Come on! You're so slow' she yelled from a really good distance as she slowed up her pace waiting for him.Her beautiful green eyes, glowing brightly as she smiled at him.His gray hair moving through the wind, he fastened his pace and finally caught her.
'It's right there~' she pointed into the distance at a really quite small town, with open rusty iron gates, where two lazy guards sat down at.Emmeline rushed to both of the guards and flicked them across the head waking them up. 'You should be doing your job!' she yelled at them as she took out her wand and pointed it at them enchanting one of her spells.With just one word, the wand emited a strong lightning which hit both of the guards sending them blasting through the air.
'That's your punishment!' she screamed as the guards yelped and finally landed at quite a distance away from them.Dace grabbed her from behind, carrying her in his arms and ran away before the guards could get up.The young girl blushed as she started tossing in his arms.
'What do you think you're doing?!' she smacked him across the head, but he just took the pain and continued running until he got to an empty street leaving the guards far behind. 'I was helping you!' he replied, putting her down gently.
'Helping me, with what? OH! You mean those guards? They wouldn't move their asses for anything in the world.Even if they got hit by a train.' she shook her head as she stood up.She chuckled under her breath and clutched tightly onto his hand, pointing at a young lady just in front of them.
She had light brown hair that went up to her thighs, her eyes were a dark red.She was a bit tanned, and she wore a maid's outfit, carrying a basket with jars of jam.
'Let's see you try your charm on her, get her phone number, and remember from now on you're going to have only one hour until you get 10 girl's number.' She whispered to Dace.
Dace nodded slightly and walked to the girl. 'Hello, My name's Dace.' he said to the girl and smiled sweetly. 'Oh my gosh, you're so handsome.Here's my phone number' the young maid said and scribbled some numbers onto a piece of paper.
Emmeline sweat dropped, falling in slow motion onto her face, but just as she thought she'd hit the ground she was pulled back up by a pair of strong arms.'H-how did you do that?!' she screamed at him.Dace let her loose, and shrugged his shoulders. 'I have no idea..'
'Haa~ Whatever.Get her phone number!' she pointed to a lady with lots of kids playing near her. 'Alrighty, then' he said and went up to the lady presenting himself.He quickly got another piece of paper, and then ran back to her.
'HA?!' She screeched, and took the piece of paper away. 'I can't believe this!' she then pointed to a fancy dressed girl with lots of jewelry hanging from her neck. 'I bet you won't get her phone number.'
Dace nodded and ran up to the lady. 'Hello, My name's Dace.' he said but before he could continue his next sentence the young lady checked him out. 'Hmm, what a handsome young fellow we got here.' she said walking around him in circles.She then made a sign to one of her servants, they brought her a piece of paper.She gave it to the boy 'Call me.' she said as she winked and went back to her way.
Dace creeped out took the piece of paper, his head hanging low and crawled back to Emmeline. 'I swear! She was thinking of nasty things.. ' he said dramatically.Emmeline sighed and took the paper out of his hands. 'Yeah, well up to the next one!'
They kept going from a girl to another, as the girl got upset by the moment.She was going to lose a bet, she knew it, and it didn't feel good.She stomped her foot as it got to the last girl, and he still got her phone number.
She sighed, and took the last piece of paper out of his hand. 'How do you do it?' she asked him. 'I don't know' he smiled politely at her. 'You seem tired, do you want to go back?' he asked as he stared at her. 'No, let's spend the night here' she said and tried smiling, but it wasn't working.She lost a bet.It was the end of the world as she knew it.But she had a plan of how to get her revenge upon him.
Walking towards the nearest inn, she stepped into the hall and went up to the guy who was responsible with renting the rooms. 'Oh, damn, I left my money back at home.And if I go back home, it's a 2 days long journey.Ooh, dear, can you help me?' she said dramatically eyeing the guy next to her.He flushed staring at the girl. 'Of course! I shall help you! Whatever you want, just ring and I'll get you! Oh here's the key to your room' he said giving her the key to the most biggest inn room. 'Oooh, Dace, see? That's how you make it work' she told him whispering and took the key away from the guy making her way through the hall, leaving him there stranded.
He sweat dropped, but tried his luck with her method. 'Uh, I don't have any money, and my house is -' he tried saying but the boy glared at him. 'Go get a job, get money and then you can sleep here!' he yelled at Dace.But from afar, Emmeline was watching the whole scene.She chuckled and went back to the guy. 'No worries, he's with me' she said sweetly.The boy agreed and gave her another key.
Emmeline took the key away and grabbed Dace pulling him down the hall.She handed him his own key and laughed at him. 'Good night Prince Charming' she said and entered her own room, leaving the poor boy confused.He shrugged it off, and entered his own room.
That's how the rest of the day mostly went by, just sleeping.But Emmeline wasn't done with it.She was preparing her revenge upon him.She called all the girl's phone number and told them that Dace would be leaving tomorrow.But he'd like to take them all on a date before that.So they should wait in their best clothes outside the town gates.
With that she sleeped peacefully while Dace was kind of haunted by this cold feeling he has been feeling all night, not getting too much sleep because of it.He knew something bad would happen.
The sun gleamed brightly through the inn's windows, and as soon as they knew it Dace and dear Emmeline woke up at the same time, only differently.
'Huh?! Ugh! What?!' the girl yelled as she woke up by the sun shinning brightly on her, she turned and tossed around until she fell off the bed.She landed on the cold floor, with a loud thud.Rising up, she took out her wand casting out a spell on what she thought was a potential opponent.With a loud boom, the wardrobe was set on fire.
'HAHA! I've got you, now!' She smiled victoriously, then rubbed her eyes and started to change, but as she walked past the wardrobe she sensed danger.Turning around, she saw the fire, and with a swift movement she pulled her wand and cast another spell.The fire suddenly was put out.
'Hmmph..' the girl muttered out as she began to change into her clothes.
In the other bedroom, a calm boy opened his eyes smiling. 'Ah! What a beautiful morning.' he gasped out as he rose up from his bed, and calmly made the bed.He then turned around and started changing, in the clothes one of his newest fangirls gave him yesterday as he was asking her for her phone number.
(Flashback)
'Her!' the girl pointed out to a beautiful young lady carrying two bags of clothes inside the house.Dace nodded his head and marched towards her.
'Umm, hello! My name is Dace' he muttered out to the lady as he helped her with the bags.Her light brown hair fell to her shoulders.Her eyes were green, and she wore such nice clothes.
'Oh, dear.You need to get those fixed.Here, I'll give you some clothes until you can fix those you are wearing.' She said noticing his clothes that have been torn to pieces when she met Emmeline.She dashed inside and moments later she brought with her a pair of black jeans, a white shirt and a long blue robe, and handed them to him.
'Here, take those.' she said, as the boy took the clothes. 'Why, thank you.But, may I ask for your -' but before he could mutter what was left of his sentence he already noticed a piece of paper with a bunch of numbers scribbled on it.He grinned and took the clothes, hurrying back to Emmeline.
(End of Flashback)
He sighed, and grabbed his staff running outside of his room.He knocked on Emmeline's door.She rushed to the door as she stumbled upon her blanket, which she was too lazy to pick up.Dace blushed when he saw her.Her shirt was too long for her and it revealed her shoulders, her skirt was so short the shirt was covering it all up, she wore socks of different colours and her hair was messy.
'Yeah, what do you want?' she asked as she rubbed her eyes.'Oh, yeah! Let's go..' she said as she stepped forward, but was stopped by Dace who got in her way.
'Ugh, take a look at yourself..' he muttered as he looked away. 'Huuuhhh..' she voiced as her eyes fell upon what she was wearing. 'A-ACK?!' She slammed the door close as she started running through her room searching through things, changing once again.
Dace fell back from the blow, but decided he should stay right where he was and wait.After a long, five minutes and a half, the door was opened.The young girl was wearing, now, black tight shorts a purple shirt and a big long cloak, her bag on her shoulder.The boy nodded and got up from his seat.
'Let's go, then' she told him, as she made her way down the hall, and outside the inn, until the iron gates of the city.As Dace got closer to the gates he slightly became nervous.He knew they'd come, he just knew it, and he was right.A big crowd of girls were waiting impatiently at the gates.
He gasped, as he recognised most of them from yesterday.Clutching onto Emmeline's sleeve he pulled her back. 'They came for me...' he stuttered. 'Non-sense, maybe they came just for a meeting of the annual meeting club or something.Don't be so negative.' she said and dragged him to the gates.He gulped as he came near them.
The girls all stared dreamingly at him, and they all began circling him.He was surrownded by them with no way out.The girls even pushed Emmeline away just so they could be closer to their 'love'.
The girl stumbled backwards onto her butt.She twitched and got up slowly.Her aura suddenly became black, the wind blew powerfully, the clouds deepened and darkened the whole sky, lightning was engraving the sky.
She stomped, breaking the earth beneath her, to the crowd of fangirls, emotionless.The earth shook under her shoes.
'Oh, no! That monster wants to destroy our Dace-kun~! We need to save him' one of them said and the others nodded standing right in front of him.One of them pushed him away so that he won't deal any damage if that 'monster' was going to hurt them.Dace, clueless on what was happening, stood there stunned watching the whole scene pass before his eyes.
Emmeline just walked towards them, as her aura got bigger and stronger.She stopped in front of them releasing a powerful roar of rage, which quickly shook them off their feet.When she finally reached her first target, she reached her arm to her.
'STOP IT!' the boy screeched, knewing what was going to happen if he wouldn't do anything.A sharp pain ran through her entire body, she grasped onto her head as she fell to her knees. 'K-Kah..' she muttered as she fell to the ground un-conscious.
That was his chance, Dace quickly dashed through his fangirls and picked the girl up.He winked at his fangirls and then started running away from the town, deep into the wood, now, knowing the path to the cabin.
Upon reaching the cabin, he opened the door and set the girl down onto the blankets.He stroke her hair gazing at her.She reached and grasped onto his hand, opening her eyes a bit. 'J-just, so you know... I'll do anything for you.' she affirmed as she tried her best to smile, then fainted once again.
Knocked back, by her words he grinned and laid down beside her, and started thinking.
After quite some hours, the girl woke up, she rose up to her feet and stared at her surrowndings. 'H-How did I get here?' she asked herself, but a voice replied back. 'Well, that would be a long story' Dace walked towards her from the window.He smiled sweetly and poked her forehead. 'You know, you faint in the most awkward moments?'
'H-Huh?!' She flushed as her eyes stared at him. 'No worries, I won't tell anyone that you're a kind and sweet childish girl.' he chuckled as he grinned at her. 'A-ACK!?' she twitched and jumped on him choking him.Her fingernails grazing his skin.Knocked back, and being choked to death, he smiled at her, even though he was in pain.
'Huh...' she removed her hands from his throat as her eyes began to water.He coughed, and started breathing normally again.Her tears began to flow, she buried her head in his chest. 'I-I-I'm sorry!' she stuttered.He stroke her head, 'It's okay'. 'I promise I won't ever hurt you! Ever! And I won't let anything else hurt you.' she mumbled. He kept on smiling and wrapped his arms around her.Shocked, she rose to her feet. 'Aren't you mad?'
He let out a chuckle, 'No'. 'B-But.. Argh, you're a weirdo.' He shook his head at her words, and smiled brightly. Taken back by his actions, 'S-Since I-I pro-promised I won't let anything hurt you, I have to be by your side night and day.So, you can always count on me! A-And, trust me, because I-I shall always be there for you!'
His eyes widened at her words, he rose up and hugged her. 'Thank you, then.' he said as his smile grazed his face once again.The girl flushed and wrapped her arms around him. 'Y-Your welcome..'
And that was the promise that she shall always try and keep, no matter what and no matter how.She shall always be there for him, and do anything for him.He just needs to ask.
