hey! the giver is a really good book. Its sad though,how the community decided everything for the citizens just so that everyone could be protected from making mistakes...
Hhm... I was reading your description a bit. Why would you have a problem with scientists or think they're against religion? Because of my own background, I've talked to a lot of scientists from different countries and I can say that you'd be pretty surprised at how many of them are either religious themselves or have no problem at all with religion. The hot topic areas that you'll see debates about on the news are mostly limited to the fields of biology and geology anyway. Most scientists I know just want to do cool stuff and help make the world a better place.
Sorry for the minor rant... I just thought I'd give a different opinion on this :-)
How we made this site? Well, Madelon designed most of it and I programmed it. I'm using PHP (see www.php.net) as a programming language and Madelon used photoshop for making the designs.
Although a site can be made by a single person, it's usually better to have a small team of people with some different talents and insights.
